10 KYU

The color of the first belt is orange. This color symbolizes the rising sun, which in Japan is associated with birth, the emergence of new things, and in this case, entering the karate family.

This belt includes:
  • 3 stances;
  • 2 hand strikes;
  • 2 blocks;
  • 2 leg kicks;
  • Physical preparation.
9 KYU

After holding this belt, a blue ribbon is sewn to the orange belt, which symbolizes the ocean, the knowledge it contains. The owner of this belt has already taken a solid step towards a deeper knowledge of Kyokushin Karate.

8 KYU

The blue belt symbolizes the blueness of the sky and the amount of knowledge it contains.

This belt includes:

7 KYU

After keeping this belt, a yellow ribbon is sewn to the blue belt, which symbolizes the Sun, its modesty, restraint and the power of its rays. This is the first step to fighting.

6 KYU

A yellow belt is unique in a few ways - it's a combat belt and it's also a halfway point to a black belt, where you can go from being a student to a teacher and helping others with your knowledge.

5 KYU

A yellow belt with a green ribbon helps a person to get even closer to nature and thanks to the green ribbon to feel the energy that pulsates around.

4 KYU

This is the first high belt. The green belt is a symbol of "life and plants" that reflects the athlete's spiritual beginning. Green belt karatekas should be able to control their feelings and emotions.

3 KYU

A green belt with a brown ribbon is considered a symbol of "plant maturation", the basis of which is the emergence of inner peace.

2 KYU

Brown belt is the penultimate belt to black belt in the kyokushin karate belt system. The brown belt is a symbol of the "earth color", which symbolizes the athlete's maturity.

1 KYU

A brown belt with a black ribbon is considered a symbol of "approaching wisdom", which symbolizes the clarification of the athlete's weak and strong sides, preparing to become a master.

This belt includes:
  • 3 hand strikes;
  • 2 defensive actions;
  • 4 leg kicks;
  • 2 FLOOR;
  • 2 renrak;
  • Physical preparation and fighting.
1 DAN

A black belt shows the prowess and wisdom of an athlete. The most important task of a black belt owner is to analyze consciousness, control thoughts and get rid of negative qualities.

This belt includes:
  • 2 hand strikes;
  • 3 defense actions;
  • 2 leg kicks;
  • 5 FLOOR;class
  • Physical preparation and fighting.

*FLOOR – it is a specific sequence of twenty actions with an imaginary opponent (or shadow), during which the examiners seek to understand how you are doing in fulfilling certain requirements that you will have to perform in the future as a couple.

**Ibuki's breathing – human internal organs need tone, just like muscles. The essence of Ibuki breathing is to strengthen the internal organs.

***Renraku – it is a combination of actions, the complexity of which depends on the technique that the kyu must pay.


Belt technique can be learned on your own at a time and place convenient for you. For this, the BUDOROS team created 10 KYU – 1 DAN video training.
